Antigua – St. Martin 7 Day Charter Itinerary Sample

Day 1: If arriving on Antigua Leeward Islands on the first day of your charter, taxi from the airport to Jolly Harbour to meet your yacht. Get acquainted with your home away from home, then tuck into a nice lunch while you and the captain fine-tune the itinerary for your perfect vacation. Take your first dip in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean then sail south to English Harbour, where
Lord Nelson’s fleet was centered in the 18th Century. Take a cab up to Shirley Heights for spectacular panoramic views of the sun setting over the Island of Montserrat.

Day 2: After breakfast, set sail for the spectacular natural gem that is Barbuda. This coral island boast pale pink beaches that stretch for miles and unparalleled snorkeling opportunities. It’s also a bird sanctuary and a perfect place to watch the amazing grace of the huge frigate birds high above.

Day 3: Another gorgeous day at sea. After breakfast, set sail for St. Kitts, about six hours away. Once you arrive, marvel at the glorious white and black sand beaches. Diving and snorkeling enthusiasts can spend the day at White House Bay exploring a 16th Century wreck, while history buffs will choose to tour the islands old sugar cane plantations.

Day 4: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and one last swim before setting off for a full day at sea. Kick back with a cocktail and a book while the captain steers you towards St. Barth’s – a five or six hour sail away. Arrive at the island’s capital, Gustavia, and pull on your best duds for a gourmet meal at one of finest French restaurants in the Caribbean. St. Bart’s is often called the
Riviera of the Caribbean and it’s where the rich and powerful come to unwind…and, of course, be seen!

Day 5: Rent yourself a Mini-Moke – a cross between a golf cart and a jeep – and spend the morning exploring the island before returning to your yacht. Then sail up the coast to the quiet anchorage at Colombier Bay. The pristine beach lined with palm trees and backed by a steep cliff wall is the perfect place for dinner under the stars.

Day 6: Sail to Tintamarre, a small uninhabited French island off the coast of St. Martin for a quiet last full day of swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. Or, if you’d prefer some more civilization, sail to Marigot, the capital of French St. Martin and wander the streets looking for duty-free deals. Sail up to Grand Case Bay or Anse Marcel for your last night onboard.

Day 7: After a morning swim and breakfast, sail to Great Bay. Disembark at Phillipsburg, the capital of Dutch St. Maarten.
